Nightmare Before Halloween is an exciting animation workshop for 11-16 year olds. It will be held on Sunday October 31st from 4pm – 7pm.
Visual artist, Aideen Barry will take participants through different animation techniques. The workshop will respond to the theme of HALLOWEEN, HORROR, ILLUSIONS and MAGIC, using humour, comedy and imagination to highlight clever animation techniques and how to make your own animations at home.
The workshop will cover animation techniques such as drawing animation, clay motion and stop motion, influenced by the ‘Masters of Motion’-Tim Burton and The Quay Brothers.
All materials and equipment will be supplied and each participant will get a DVD of the completed animation at the end of the 3 hour workshop.
Bring your digital camera or iPod if you have one.
The course is open to 11 – 16 year olds and limited to 14 places, so book early to avoid disappointment! Workshop cost is €35 per participant.
